Groin Hits Not All Fun and Games

What’s fun? How about being hit in the groin during a basketball game so hard you get the rare yet unforgettable honor of being diagnosed with a “fractured testicle”?
Answer: No, that is not fun at all. In any way. At all. We don’t even want to suggest it was, but there really isn’t any good or graceful way to talk about this happening to anyone. Driving to the lane, Isaac Sosa took “the perfect hit” to the groin, and found himself in excruciating pain during the game and in the hospital afterward.

Sosa’s Grandview squad was finishing up a regional win in the state playoffs and will play in the semi-final round without Sosa, their leading scorer. Sosa lost a portion of his testicle in postgame surgery, and may lose the whole testicle depending on how his recovery goes. It should be mentioned in conclusion that Sosa finished the game with a fractured testicle, and is tougher than Charles Bronson coated in liquid Kevlar for doing so.
But don’t let this spoil the good, clean American fun of athletes being hit in the crotch for you. Try to remember the classics. You know, the good times:
