Sports are good for you -- even if you happen to just be a rabid sports fan. Your latte-swilling, Slate.com reading friends may be skeptical, but tell them science is on your side this time, you barbarian, you.
”... For the most part, whether their team wins or loses, sports fans are more psychologically healthy than those who don’t follow sports,” Wann told WebMD. “Because in the long run, it’s not really the performance that matters, it’s the connection to the team.”
See? You’re a healthier, happier monkey for following sports. Except for that time you had thirteen beers at the Giants/Eagles game and decided you needed to express your love of your team in the form of interpretive dance.
Sports: Good for You, Sports Blogs: Even Better
