Bracketology isn’t all the rage at one house: Rick Neuheisel’s.

Kevin Love’s reaction to Neuheisel’s lame, anti-gambling lifestyle.
Neuheisel was fired from his position as head football coach at the University of Washington following a scandal involving his gambling on the tournament in an office pool. T.J. Simers asked UCLA’s new coach about his participation in March Madness, and Neuheisel responded in a manner consistent with his West Coast roots: laid-back, man.
“I’m forbidden to participate, and I’m absolutely complying,” he said. “Absolutely complying.
“The sad thing is, my wife gets so irritated when we put the games on, saying, you’re supporting something that tried to ruin our lives. How the heck can you watch that?”
If you put Nick Saban in this situation, he would have said “Hold on just a sec,” put the phone on the counter, and then phoned in an air strike on the reporter’s hourse. So Neuheisel deserves some well-earned credit for having a sense of humor about the question, and answering it directly.
But seriously, let’s get to the real point here: Nick Saban would have dropped a bomb on T.J. Simers for asking this questions and salted the earth where his house stood. I won’t even talk about what Urban Meyer would have done. (Three words: “Bees with flamethrowers.”) ↵
