ESPN Gets Poetic at the Sight of Big Red

By Spencer Hall
The Worldwide Leader may have finally snapped. They’ve begun writing their captions in haiku. Count along with me:

Yup, seventeen syllables, a perfectly constructed haiku found hiding in an otherwise innocuous ESPN photo caption:
Amorphous red blob
Hey, that’s Big Red to you. But
he mystifies us.
Either ESPN staffers are bored and hiding easter eggs all over the site, or they’ve hired a Zen Buddhist monk to write their captions from atop a mountaintop perch.
In their defense, who isn’t moved to poetry by the sight of Big Red?
