Corey Masiak, the Washington Times reporter who said yesterday that Jose Theodore will start in goal for the Capitals tonight, is now not so sure. From Masiak’s twitter feed come these conflicting reports:
Caps Starter is Still Unclear
Jose Theodore said yesterday that Boudreau told him he is playing tonight. I’m not so sure about that.
Classic line from Boudreau — Q: “Goaltender tonight?” A: Boudreau: “Yes.”
… But Theodore is the first goalie off the ice. This drama is probably unnecessary.
So, the Caps WILL have a goalie tonight, Jose Theodore may have been stretching the truth when he relayed Boudreau’s words, but then, he was the first goalie off the ice, so perhaps that means he’s starting. Who knows?
By 7 o’clock tonight, we’ll have a sure answer. Before then? It’s anybody’s guess…
