Troy Polamalu can sympathize. While not as severe as Larry Johnson’s hair-tackle of Polamalu, Raiders DE Richard Seymour’s extracurricular hair-grabbing of Broncos LT Ryan Clady has apparently drawn the ire of the NFL’s disciplinary office. Adam Schefter reports that the NFL will fine Seymour $7,500. Here’s the video of Seymour in all of his hair-pulling glory:

↵After the game, Seymour provided some “clarification” on the incident, telling Lowell Cohn of the Santa Rosa Press-Democrat that it was “no mistake”, before refusing to answer any more questions and getting into an argument with the reporter. Um, glad that’s cleared up Richard. So you didn’t inadvertently latch onto Clady’s hair and yank? Got it.
↵But it’s good to see that Seymour is fitting into the Raider’s organization so quickly. After spending the entirety of his career as a model citizen in New England, Seymour appears to already be embracing the disfunction that is the Raiders. Although I’m sure Tom Cable and Bill Romanowski will tell him that the Raiders usually reserve this type of behavior for fellow coaches and teammates. Seymour still has a few things to learn.
