Patriots Cut WR Joey Galloway, Three Others

The Patriots have been busy during the past 24 hours, clearly making move for ... something? Nothing? Who knows. Maybe they were just hoping to save money on airfare to London this week.

First, they cut LBTully Banta-Cain last night, only to resign him today, a move that was actually expected. Why? Mike Reiss has the answer.

Update to the update: Adam Schefter tweets that the Pats have re-signed Tully Banta-Cain. So that leaves one roster spot unaccounted for, assuming they do add Tate and LeVoir to the roster.

Galloway, 38, has been unproductive this season, registering only 67 yards on seven receptions with several drops. He has been inactive for the Patriots last three games. It is likely that the emergence of rookie WR Julian Edelman made Galloway expendable.
