The Patriots cut WR Joey Galloway on Tuesday, according to the Boston Herald.

Galloway, 38, has been unproductive this season, registering only 67 yards on seven receptions with several drops. He has been inactive for the Patriots last three games. It is likely that the emergence of rookie WR Julian Edelman made Galloway expendable.

Galloway had recently been mentioned in trade rumors with the Ravens, however since the Patriots cut Galloway before the trade deadline, he does not have to go through waivers, and anyone is free to sign him.
