MMAMania contacted Fitch to see if they could get any info on who the big opponent would be:
When contacted by MMAmania.com, Fitch was unable to reveal his new opponent, but did say his fight would be shifted to a later date against “A huge opponent.”
The biggest fights for Fitch at welterweight right now would be Georges St. Pierre, Matt Huges and Thiago Alves. I don’t know that Alves quite fits the mold of a “huge opponent” and I doubt the GSP rematch is happening any time soon. I guess that leaves Hughes but even that doesn’t quite sound right.
