Trent Edwards Expects To Be Cleared To Play
Bills quarterback Trent Edwards expects to be cleared to return to the field for the team’s Week 10 game against the Titans after sitting out for much of the last month as he recovered from the aftereffects of a concussion, according to the Buffalo News.
Edwards has not been told whether he will return to the starting lineup, though he has been practicing with the Bills’ top two wideouts, Terrell Owens and Lee Evans, which suggest that he will come back as the starter. Backup quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick has played in Edwards’ absence, leading the team to a pair of wins despite putting up very modest numbers.

The AP reports that for the first time since suffering a concussion two weeks ago, Bills QB Trent Edwards was back on the practice field for the first time on Wednesday.
Edwards will sit out this weekend’s game against the Texans, and his status for beyond that has yet to be determined. The Bills have a bye the following week, but head coach Dick Jauron has refused to comment on whether Edwards will resume starting for the Bills given that backup Ryan Fitzpatrick has won the last two weeks.
