SBN’s FSU blog, Tomahawk Nation, weighs in with some reaction to today’s loss, and the mood is not chipper over there:
Florida State Fans are NOT Happy Right Now
What’s really depressing about watching our games is knowing that even if we come back and win, it really doesn’t change anything about the program. There are no “statement games” for us right now. Just small little fluctuations in an overall trend line that is inexorably heading downward. Winning or losing this game didn’t mean a thing (unless the number of losses, or the nature of those losses pile up such that they cause regime change)
A subsequent post was titled Florida State Loses at Boston College, 28-21, Bobby Bowden Shows He Has Lost All Control of Semionles Program. So, yeah: I’d say the FSU fans are not feeling great about the outlook of their program tonight. But hey, at least they’ve got Burt Reynolds and Lee Corso!
