Chapman Fires Agent, Hires Hendricks

Athletics Premier International, the agency that helped make Aroldis Chapman eligible to play in the major leagues, has been fired by the coveted mega-prospect. From MLB.com:

According to multiple reports, the hard-throwing southpaw has dropped Athletes Premier International in favor of Hendricks Sports Management, which is run by brothers Randy and Alan Hendricks. The agency also represents Angels first baseman and fellow Cuban defector Kendry Morales, among others.

API, it’s safe to assume, feels jilted by the move. With so many millions of dollars on the line, however, Chapman has to do what he has to do.
