It appears as though the Aroldis Chapman sweepstakes is over. Yahoo’s Jeff Passan has confirmed that Chapman has agreed to sign with the Reds.

Aroldis Chapman, the 22-year-old pitching phenom from Cuba, has been chased after by several teams over the past few months. On Sunday morning, Jeff Passan reported that Chapman has agreed to sign a $30 million deal with an NL Central team, and the arrow seems to be pointing to the Cincinnati Reds.
If Chapman does sign with the Reds, the team is adding another young arm on a pitching staff full of them. Edinson Volquez and Johnny Cueto have come into their own, and many believe that Homer Bailey has yet to show his full potential.
