Aroldis Chapman Begins Meeting With MLB Teams

The courting of Cuban prospect Aroldis Chapman is underway.

According to ESPN’s Jorge Arangure, Chapman met with the Mets on Friday. Up next: The Cardinals, Red Sox and Yankees ... in other words, the usual suspects:

Aroldis Chapman to meet with #stlcardinals officials on Monday in NYC. Chapman will meet with #redsox in Boston on Wednesday. [...]

#Yankees meeting with Chapman was supposed to be this weekend but was postponed due to ALCS game

Chapman is young and very, very good. He is expected to sign for $50-60 million, but his agent, Edwin Mejia, has never had a player like Chapman before. Chapman has been working out at the Olympic Stadium in Barcelona since he defected from Cuba last month.
