Jason Quick of the Oregonian reports that Rudy Fernandez is expected to miss 4-6 weeks after having a microdiscectomy to fix a nerve root in his lower back that was causing pain in his right leg.

Trail Blazers guard Rudy Fernandez will miss four-to-six weeks after undergoing a microdiscectomy on Tuesday afternoon to relieve pressure from a nerve root in his back.
[…]The prognosis targets his return in early to mid-January, meaning he will miss at least 17 games because of the injury.
Fernandez now joins teammates Greg Oden, Nicholas Batum and Travis Outlaw on the sidelines, at least for the near future.
