Big Ten Finds Out When it Will Be Losing Its Annual Challenge Against the ACC

For fans of the college version of basketball, such as myself, who are currently suffering through the tediousness of the NBA Playoffs, here’s something to get excited about: The ACC-Big Ten Challenge schedule has been released. It shakes out as follows, with times TBA -- they have, oh, about seven months to sort it out:↵↵⇥-- Penn State at UVA
↵⇥-- Maryland at Indiana
↵⇥-- Michigan State at North Carolina
↵⇥-- Northwestern at N.C. State
↵⇥-- Virginia Tech at Iowa
↵⇥-- Wake Forest at Purdue
↵⇥-- Boston College at Michigan
↵⇥-- Duke at Wisconsin
↵⇥-- Florida State at Ohio State
↵⇥-- Illinois at Clemson
↵⇥-- Minnesota at Miami↵↵It’s hard to get too worked up about any of these games yet, given that we don’t know exactly what these teams will look like next season. Obviously Michigan State-UNC is supposed to be the marquee game, a rematch of the National Championship snoozer. It’ll certainly look different with Hansbrough gone along with Lawson and Ellington potentially entering the draft. Unfortunately for the Spartans, the Heels have an endless line of players-better-than-yours. Really, I just hope Detroit’s economy has bounced back by then so we don’t need to hear how the Spartans are playing a basketball game for the people of Michigan.

↵For the record, the ACC has never lost to the Big Ten since the Challenge started in 2000. This year should be no different with the Big Ten continuing to not be good at sports. Perhaps a two game handicap is in order.
↵↵[/will never admit that the Big Ten had a better ‘09 NCAA Tournament than the ACC.]↵
