Mets to Phillies: ‘Choke on This’

Here is some local advertising out of N.Y. for this weekend’s Phillies-Mets series, in which the Fightins are asked to choke on ... players making contact with a baseball? I don’t know, it’s kinda of confusing as to how exactly the commercial is instructing Philly to asphyxiate:↵

↵
↵It should be noted that Cole Hamels was 0-2 vs. the Mets last season, and N.Y. took 11-of-18 games from Philly. But then again, the Phillies won the World Series while the Mets went 4-6 down the stretch to miss the playoffs altogether. So, yeah, the Mets really have a superior recent history with which to talk trash.
↵
↵But then again, I’m not a marketing major. Perhaps this sort of aggressive advertising appeals to the type of people who spend their mornings watching Maury.
