George W. Brings Heat; Rangers Fans Approve

↵
↵Remember that W. guy from way back when? Used to wear a lot of 10-gallon hats, Texan, poor public speaker, ran the free world for eight years? Yeah, that guy. He made an appearance today at the Rangers home opener to throw out the first pitch. And, as you might expect, they still love them some George Walker deep in the heart of Texas:↵↵⇥Just got back up to the press box from the field. I can tell you that former president George W. Bush got a huge ovation from the crowd. I wasn’t sure if it would be mixed, but it was no doubt a big cheer. Josh Hamilton caught Bush’s pitch, a little high but it looked like a strike to me, and asked Bush to sign the ball for him. The former president seemed to enjoy himself. His wife, Laura, and his daughters are in the front row where owner Tom Hicks usually sits. Also saw Jerry Jones down there. He’s talked to Hicks as we speak.↵↵The Rangers beat the Indians 9-1, which means Texas has improved to 1-0 when a former President throws out the first pitch this season. As for W., his record of making anything he does in front of an American flag look totally badass remains flawless.↵
