Jose Canseco Stars in The Best Photo Ever

Jose Canseco called a press conference in Beverly Hills yesterday soon after the Manny Ramirez story broke. The point was basically for him to say “I told you so,” which is fine, he did tell us so, and to complain (again) about MLB’s conspiracy against him. As you can see, there were plenty of good seats still available (click image to see larger, more mockable version):↵

↵↵From the AP’s article about the presser, which I assume was written by that one dude you see there taking notes and wondering why he picked journalism school over business administration:↵

↵↵⇥[...] Canseco spoke to a near-empty ballroom at the Four Seasons Hotel.↵⇥↵⇥Only one reporter from The Associated Press, Canseco’s lawyer, a photographer and four camera crews attended the news conference. All but two of the 100 seats were empty.↵⇥

↵↵One of the choice quotes from Canseco is him saying that, unlike some of the other known juicers, he “didn’t get a second chance.” As ‘Duk at Big League Stew points out, Jose played for six different teams, which means he received at least five second chances. More specifically, he was given the very definition of a second chance when Oakland brought him back to the A’s in 1997. But hey, no one ever said Canseco had any sort of grasp on reality.↵
