Two Weeks? Not If Asomugha Has His Say

The man himself is refuting reports that he’s likely to miss the Raiders’ season opener against San Diego, instead saying he thinks the wrist won’t be an issue by Sept. 14. From the San Fransisco Chronicle:

“They said it’d be, in a normal world, six weeks in a cast,” Asomugha said. “I’ll be fine for the San Diego game.”“If we played today, it would be a big issue,” Asomugha said. “It doesn’t feel good. I’ll play in the opener, no problem. ... This isn’t that bad.”
