Raiders Star CB Nnamdi Asomugha Thinks He’ll Make Season Opener

Nnamdi Asomugha has a chipped bone in his wrist, according to ESPN.com's Adam Schefter. He's expected to be out two weeks, which means he'll likely miss the Raiders opener against the Chargers.

More on the injury’s repercussions from Schefter:

Missing the time now will not be the issue. Just how debilitating the injury is will be a major concern throughout the season, however.

Asomugha is the top bump-and-run cornerback in the league. If his wrist is bothering him, it’s going to be more challenging for Asomugha to grab wide receivers at the line of scrimmage.

In less breaking news: It’s going to be a long season in Oakland.
