Comrie Deal Surprises No One
Robin Brownlee of Oilers Nation had a huge feature up yesterday explaining how Comrie’s return had been made possible, making the deal seem like something of a foregone conclusion:

Even Islanders blog Lighthouse Hockey, which focuses neither on Comrie’s (then) current Senators, was all over the Comrie-to-Edmonton story before it was officially announced by the team.
Dominik of Lighthouse Hockey, remembering Comrie’s time on Long Island, has decidedly low expectations.
If he does sign in Edmonton, and if he does feel at peace with a less prominent role, maybe it will work out for him. But, I mean, you watched him for a couple of years ... do you think it will?Trust Dominik on this one. Nobody knows failure like an Islanders fan.
