Tribune: Peavy Could Pitch This Weekend

According to the Chicago Tribune, White Sox fans might see their new ace as soon as this weekend after his bullpen session on Wednesday:

This means that Peavy, barring a setback, will make his first start for the White Sox next week in Seattle or even this weekend against the Los Angeles Angels.That decision will come later this week, but Peavy sounded eager to pitch, albeit on a pitch count after coping with right ankle and right elbow injuries that have delayed his Sox debut.

“I’ll go out there and start and go as long and as hard as I can for as long as they’ll let me go,” Peavy said. “That’s all I can tell you. I have no reservations about anything. I’m so anxious to pitch and get out in a game. I’ll take what I can get.”

One thing is for certain: nothing is certain when it comes to Peavy and when he’ll debut for the White Sox.
