Patriots Hold the Bills on Final Drive, Win Game 25-24

Ouch: Two last-minute touchdown drives, one of them caused by a bad decision on a kick return, rob the Bills of a win they deserved for three quarters. Such is life when you’re the Buffalo Bills.

There are bright sides, though. For a team no one expects anything from, faced with what many believe to be the prohibitive Super Bowl favorite, a last-minute loss is nothing to feel bad about. The Patriots face the opposite conclusion: Perhaps they’re not as good as they thought.

Or perhaps it’s just week one, where crazy things happen and we make too big a deal out of minor results. That might be it, too.
