Derrick Brooks has signed with Team ESPN, which makes perfect sense seeing as a) he once played football; b) any player who once played football is now an NFL analyst for ESPN.

Buuut, according to the Boston Herald, it is a short term deal with ESPN, and Brooks still wants to play football. Which I find suspicious. If he wanted to play football still then, uh, why is he signing TV deals instead of meeting with teams to play football?
