Via The Sporting Blog comes this tale of childhood athletic woe, and I’m not using the term “woe” ironically: 12-year-old Graham Bartunek, who suffers from albinism, is not able to play peewee football in his new league. Why is this? Because Graham needs a special visor to alleviate the sensitivity to sunlight that comes with his condition, and the Oconomowoc, Wisc. parks and recreation department won’t allow it.

If that sounds like something you’d see on an NBC comedy (yes, I’m referring to “Parks and Recreation”) that’s because it is. Except it’s not funny at all. Give the boy a visor, Oconomowoc. This is silly.
