It must be tempting for Washington fans to celebrate the Huskies’ win by posting a collection of Journey videos and chintzy animations of teddy bears morphing into the words “I love you” (that’s what I would do), but UW Dawg Pound has elected to sit back and take a calm, objective look at the Huskies’ game. Each department is graded, and it’s not all roses. The tight ends get a C-plus:
Grading the Huskies’ Performance
Kavario Middleton had a couple of mistakes that were costly. He took four points off the board when he went out of bounds and reentered the playing field to catch theball at the goaline. The penalty pushed UW back five eyards and forced them to kick a FG. He also had one over the middle that bounced off his hands that ended a Washington drive forcing a punt. He had a tough night blocking some of the best DE’s in the country too. When pressure overtook UW from the edge chances were it was the man that Middleton was supposed to block.
But almost every other department receives an A, including the coaching staff:
These coaches get it. It is game three and how many players on the team haven’t bought into what these guys are doing yet? If there were any non believers on Friday I can’t imagine there are any left today. This staff seemingly is doing everything right.
