The Giants are looking to overcome last night’s 12-1 debacle at Dodger Stadium. The Dodgers send out Randy Wolf. Wolf has a five game winning streak on the line which started against the Giants on August 11th.
Giants Look for Redemption vs. Wolf, Dodgers
From True Blue LA
Randy Wolf is making his third start against the Giants this season. In his previous two starts, he has allowed one earned run in 14 innings. If Randy Wolf pitches at least three innings today (AKA longer than Brad Penny), he will not only trigger the final $500,000 incentive bonus clause in his contract, but he will also reach the 200-inning plateau for the first time since 2003.
The Giants are now 3.5 games behind in the wild card race behind the Rockies with 14 games left in the season. The Giants are trying to help determine their own destiny with Tim Lincecum on the mound. Lincecum has never won a game against the Giants in Dodger Stadium but is 3-0 with a 2.56 ERA against the Dodgers.
