Maybe Marion Barber is a quick healer. After initially reporting that the Cowboys’ bruising RB would miss two weeks due to his quad injury, word came out that it would only be “1-2 weeks”, before culminating in the news that Barber might not miss any time at all.
If you own Barber, obviously check in before kickoff to see if the Cowboys’ touchdown machine will be suiting up this week. But even if he does play, it might be worth exploring other options. It wouldn’t be surprising if the Cowboys’ coaches limit Barber until they are sure he can handle a full workload. Felix Jones remains a solid starting option this week.

Suddenly, Barber stumbled and fell to the ground with no one touching him, pulling up lame on the run. For now, the Cowboys are terming it a quad muscle strain and do not have results from the MRI yet. There was no speculation on a timetable for return.
