Pennington’s Surgery Reveals No Rotator Cuff Damage
Chad Pennington’s career isn’t over. His shoulder surgery Friday revealed no rotate cuff damage, and sources say he could play again next season, if he so chooses.

Chad Pennington will travel to Birmingham, Alabama on Friday to undergo shoulder surgery for the third time. Dr. James Andrews, the man most commonly associated with career-threatening arm operations, will perform the surgery. He’s done the previous two operations on Chad’s arm, as well.
The surgery will repair a torn capsule in his throwing shoulder and could end Pennington’s career.

He’s been at this for almost a decade now, and every week, it seems like he’s meeting with a different star athlete to consult with them regarding an injury. Just today, he’s been a prominent part of two front page stories (the other involving Oklahoma’s Sam Bradford, who’s got a shoulder injury of his own).
