I know some people have Turner as the top guy in their rankings, and others are salivating at the prospect of Maurice Jones-Drew being the featured back in Jacksonville, but let’s not overthink things. Adrian Peterson is a monster put on this earth for the sole purpose of embarrassing other professional football players. Like this. He has a better pedigree and track record than Turner (who racked up huge yardage against some woeful defenses last year, but did very little against stouter run units) and Forte. And while MJD should have a career year, he’s never done it as the guy before. The first pick should be about minimizing risk. Barring injury, there is absolutely no reason Peterson shouldn’t continue to terrorize defenses. You can’t say that about anyone else.
