Despite a diastorous season--literally everything has gone wrong in 2009--the New York Mets do not believe their new ballpark’s unorthodox dimensions are to blame. After some deliberation, the Mets will not adjust the field dimensions at Citi Field. Perhaps it’s the curse of Bernie Madoff?

↵Also: it was Adam Rubin who broke the news. That would be the same Adam Rubin that earlier this year was the object of Omar Minaya’s considerable wrath. At the time, he shed tears over having to give up his beat in light of the incident, although now, it seems he’s still chasing down stories on the Mets.
