NFL Roster Cuts: Did [Insert Feel Good Story Here] Make The Team?

Baltimore cut five receivers leaving Derrick Mason, Demetrius Williams, Mark Clayton and Kelley Washington on the 53 man roster.

The ex-Ravens include Justin Harper, Jayson Foster, Eron Riley, Yamon Figurs and Ernie Wheelwright.

Green Bay has signed their former second round pick out of Louisville, Brian Brohm, to the team’s practice squad

GM Ted Thompson says Brohm is “continuing to make progress.”

The Packers will keep just two quarterbacks on their final 53 man roster, with 2008 seventh-round pick Matt Flynn (who lead LSU to a National Championship) backing up Aaron Rodgers.

Oakland has released the 10 year veteran quarterback, leaving Bruce Gradkowski and Charlie Frye as back-ups to former No. 1 pick Jamarcus Russell.

The 39-year old Garcia, who was one of 22 players cut by the Raiders, had missed two weeks of camp with a sprained calf.

The Houston Texans announced via press release that they’ve agreed to terms with their disgruntled star CB Dunta Robinson. A holdout throughout the preseason, Robinson will make upwards of $9 million this season after signing a one-year franchise tender. A SBN’s Texans blog points out, however, this raises another question (because yesterday was cut day, bro):

The one move that I am most curious abouth though, is the one that hasn’t been made yet. Dunta’s presence brings our roster to 54 players, and as of yesterday it is supposed to be done to 53. The last transaction listed on the Texans website is the signing of Robinson. I’m sure that a cut has been made or will be made before the day is out, but I’m just curious as to who it will be.
