The National League: Accommodating, Comfortable, Quiet

As FanHouse’s Ed Price explains, the National League is a common destination for aging pitchers who would prefer to face relatively weak lineups. Pitchers, though, are hesitant to admit it.

↵↵“Hitters are hitters,” said [Joe] Blanton, who was 47-46 with Oakland and has gone 13-6 with Philadelphia. “I mean, other than facing the pitcher, hitters are hitters.”

↵↵I can relate with Blanton. I also have a very difficult time offering commentary on anything without referencing the hitting ability of pitchers.
