Eagles pickup TE Alex Smith

TE Alex Smith landed with the Philadelphia Eagles today after being cut by the New England Patriots over the weekend. Smith lost out in NE to Ben Watson and had worked out for the New York Giants yesterday. In Philly, he’ll backup starter Brent Celek.
