The case of American Needle vs. NFL deals with single entities versus separately owned franchises, antitrust legislation, Section 1 of the Sherman Act and other such legalese you only kinda paid attention to during your U.S. History class. And according to Sports Illustrated's Michael McCann, a law professor at Vermont Law School, it is "the most important sports law case in U.S. history and one that could dramatically reshape how the NFL and other leagues conduct their business."
