As usual with the Oakland Raiders, the story continues to change.
Tom Cable Expected To Meet With Al Davis Thursday Or Friday
A meeting between head coach Tom Cable and owner Al Davis, originally scheduled to take place on Monday, is now expected to take place Thursday or Friday.
“They expect to meet today and possibly tomorrow,” Raiders senior executive John Herrera said.
The possibility of a second day of talks leaves open the possibility that depending on how the talks go, Cable could be retained. Otherwise, why wouldn’t Davis simply fire Cable and be done with it?
The talks are concerning the fate of Cable as the Raiders head coach.
Jerry McDonald of the Contra Costa Times makes a good point in the above quote. But nothing is predictable when dealing with Darth Vader Al Davis.
