‘The Michael Vick Project’ Is Coming To Your Television

BET has premiered the trailer for their new docu-series “The Michael Vick Project”, premiering on February 2nd.

↵The series was filmed during Vick’s first season back in the NFL after serving prison time due to animal abuse and dogfighting convictions. The series will “spotlight his controversial comeback with the Philadelphia Eagles while also examining his tumultuous past -- including his troubled childhood and his 2007 arrest for running a dogfighting ring”.

↵Vick is obviously trying to alter his public image after he has spent the past few years being vilified by the media and the public, focusing on his life as a father and his attempt to prove he’s more than just the animal-abusing monster he’s been portrayed as. The big question is how his mistakes are portrayed. Will he take ownership of misdeeds and prove that he is truly sorry, or will the focus on his childhood and other family issues be used as excuses for the crimes.
