Blogging The Boys: Cowboys Punish Eagles 24-0 To Win NFC East

How good did that feel, Cowboy fans? Dallas blog Blogging the Boys is reveling in Sunday’s 24-0 beatdown by the Cowboys over the Philadelphia Eagles to win the

NFC

East and clinch the No. 3 seed in the

NFC

. The Cowboys also get to see the Eagles again as they’ll host them in the first round. The NFC’s hottest team is fine with that.

The San Diego Chargers are the hottest team in football, but in the NFC you don’t have to look any further than the Dallas Cowboys. Give it up for a defense that has pitched back-to-back shutouts over NFC East rivals. And an offense that has discovered the balance between the passing attack and the running game, and the importance of holding on to the football. And a special teams (besides the missed FG) that had Philly bottled up all game. All three units were executing the gameplan just like it’s drawn up in the playbook, where the plays always work.

The Cowboys are playing football at the highest level, at the right time – this is getting good.
