With just over five minutes played in the BCS title game, we’ve seen some early uncharacteristic boneheaded play by Alabama including a momentum-murdering Blake Gideon interception of Alabama's punter that has to spiritually redeem whatever transgressions he committed last year against Texas Tech. (Like it or not, nobody’s forgotten.)

Unfortunately for Texas, we’ve also seen Colt McCoy trudging off to the locker room with what’s being called a shoulder injury. Freshman Garrett Gilbert replaced him in the pocket for the tail end of a field goal drive … and is about to replace him again, because Texas just recovered their own kickoff. Game on, y’all.
