Video: Colt McCoy’s Admirable Post-Game, On-Field Interview

You have to feel for Colt McCoy. Aside from the spoils that come with being the star QB at the University of Texas, he returned his senior year for the sole purpose of playing in last night’s game. Everything he’s done over the past year was a build up to the National Championship, a chance for him to go out on top, enter the NFL draft, be selected way too high and live happily ever after.

↵But then Marcell Dareus happened and McCoy’s championship hopes, and his college career, went limping into the locker room. I don’t like Texas, or have any feelings one way or the other towards McCoy, but it was impossible not to feel sorry for him at that moment.

↵And after it was all over, it was impossible not to appreciate McCoy’s class during this interview, and his ability to fight back the tears (take notes, Tebow) and express his congratulations to Alabama:
