English Premier League Saturday: Tottenham, Everton Kick-Off EPL’s Ninth Match Day
But first, the match of the day. Everton's won two in a row, sparking hopes their slow start was an aberration. They're in London to face Spurs, who enter the day even on points with Arsenal and Manchester United.
The Guardian’s Scott Murray just posted the teams:
Tottenham Hotspur: Gomes, Hutton, Kaboul, Gallas, Assou-Ekotto, Lennon, Palacios, Modric, Bale, Van der Vaart, Crouch.
Subs: Cudicini, Jenas, Pavlyuchenko, Keane, Bassong, Kranjcar, Sandro.. . .
Everton: Howard, Coleman, Jagielka, Distin, Neville, Bilyaletdinov, Heitinga, Pienaar, Baines, Yakubu, Cahill.
Subs: Mucha, Hibbert, Saha, Beckford, Gueye, Duffy, Baxter.
No Tom Huddlestone for Spurs, while Everton will be without Mikel Arteta (amongst others). David Moyes' hopes will be buoyed by the potential return of Louis Saha, who makes the Toffees' bench. Oh, there's that Pienaar guy, too. The South African international's return - that's kind of important.
