When Joey Barton placed an inch perfect cross onto the head of Andy Carroll, many thought the tall striker would finish past Robert Green. Instead, Carroll laid off the service via slight deflection to a waiting and ready Kevin Nolan who finished emphatically to draw Newcastle level with West Ham in the 23rd.
