The North Carolina Tar Heels are in trouble at the Puerto Rico Season Tip-Off. Minnesota is up on North Carolina with just under six minutes to go, 58-50. The Gophers have out-rebounded the Tarheels 35-28 and have been controlling the paint thus far. North Carolina has been plagued by poor shooting, only connecting on 36.4 percent of their shots from the field and 21.4 percent from three.

Talented freshman Harrison Barnes has been held in-check all night, only scoring two points on 0-8 shooting. Tyler Zeller leads the Tarheels with 14 points thus far. John Henson added nine and Dexter Strickland has seven for North Carolina.
Three Golden Gophers -- Blake Hoffarber, Trevor Mbakwe and Ralph Sampson III -- are in double figures. Hoffarber leads the way with 17 points. Mbakwe and Colton Iverson each have eight rebounds for Minnesota.
