The Cincinnati Bengals and New York Jets will finish the 2010 Thanksgiving day football schedule on NFL Network at 8:20 p.m. This will be the fifth consecutive year of a Thanksgiving night game for the NFL.
Bengals Vs. Jets: Thanksgiving Football Schedule Ends In New York
The Jets enter the game as heavy favorites over the Bengals, although the Jets recent schedule suggests this game will be close. The Jets have won three consecutive games by 3, 6 and 3 points. Call them lucky but they're also tied for the best record in the NFL at this point. The Bengals, on the other hand, are in the midst of a miserable seven-game losing streak, including last week's loss to the one-win Buffalo Bills. Their strength comes in the passing game with Terrell Owens and Chad Ochocinco.
The big injury to keep an eye on is QB Carson Palmer who is suffering from a foot injury. He’s currently listed as probable and expected to play.
The Jets game plan is pretty simple -- they run the ball and stop the run. There’s not a whole lot of fanciness involved with them but it’s effective.
The Jets are nine point favorites, according to the NFL odds, although the Bengals are capable of scoring plenty of points. Check out Cincy Jungle and Gang Green Nation for more on the game.
