The good news for Cincinnati Bengals fans: Carson Palmer is targeting Terrell Owens, trying to get him involved in the passing game. The bad news for Bengals’ fans: Palmer keeps getting picked off trying to throw to Owens. Twice in Jets’ territory, Palmer has looked for Owens in the second quarter. Twice the Jets have picked the pass off. It’s not been a good day for Palmer.
Bengals Vs. Jets: Carson Palmer Having A Forgettable Day
Early in the second quarter, Palmer tried to go over the top to Owens. Jim Leonhard was there, intercepting the pass at the Jets’ 21. The turnover led to a Jets field goal.
The Bengals got the ball back and were driving before deja vu reared its ugly head. Palmer looked for Owens again, but was intercepted at the Jets’ three yard line. This time it was Antonio Cromartie doing the honors, keeping the Bengals off the board.
Palmer has completed seven of 14 passes in the first half for 70 yards and the two aforementioned interceptions. The Jets’ defense is thankful for Palmer’s generosity this Thanksgiving.
