For the second time in two years (and the second time ever), the Big Ten has won the ACC/Big Ten Challenge, thanks to a 58-55 road win over the Virginia Tech Hokies by the Purdue Boilermakers. The Hokies dominated the boards, 39 to 26, but flailed away from behind the three-point line, hitting only two of 14.

The game went into overtime at 51-all after Purdue trailed by four with under two minutes to go.
Purdue's JaJuan Johnson led all scorers with 29 points on 24 shots and kicked in five rebounds, hitting the layup that sent the game into overtime and the jumper that gave Purdue the final lead. E'Twuan Moore made two free throws down the stretch and hit double figures for the Boilermakers, with Jeff Allen's 14 points leading the Hokies.
5-1 Purdue welcomes the Alabama Crimson Tide next, while the Hokies welcome their rival Virginia Cavaliers.
