UConn Winning Streak In Serious Jeopardy; Huskies Trail Stanford In The Second Half

The Connecticut Huskies record winning-streak is in serious jeopardy as the Huskies have fallen into a hole in the second half against No. 8 Stanford. UConn, winners of the last 90 games, just broke the college record for consecutive wins, previously held by John Wooden's UCLA teams. With just over five minutes to play, UConn trails Stanford, 59-52.

The Huskies have been unable to slow down Stanford’s Jeanette Pohlen thus far. Pohlen has shouldered the scoring load for the Cardinal, scoring 25 points while adding six rebounds and five assists. Nnemkadi Ogwumike has 10 points and Kayla Pederson is cleaning up the glass, grabbing 10 rebounds.

By her standards, Maya Moore is having a slow night against the Cardinal. The usually unflappable scorer has put up only 14 points through the first 35 minutes. Kelly Faris leads the way for the Huskies with 17 points and six rebounds.

Stay tuned to our StoryStream for updates on the game as UConn’s historic streak is in jeopardy late in the second half.
