Finally, You Can Buy Hannah Teter’s Underwear and Feel Good About It

A bevy of athletes have done fundraisers to benefit those affected by the earthquake in Haiti. A few of us here at The Sporting Blog even attended one held by Chad Ochocinco in his home in Miami. But none of them have the attention-grabbing potential of U.S. snowboarder Hannah Teter’s idea to produce and sell women’s underwear that reads “Make Love, Not War” to benefit Doctors Without Borders.↵↵Selling for $18, $5 from each sale will go to the relief organization. The proceeds will be added to the money from snowboarding victories that Teter has already donated to relief efforts through her foundation, Hannah’s Gold. She has also vowed to donate any winnings she receives for medaling at the Olympics to efforts in Haiti.↵
↵↵Previously, she has sold maple syrup from her home state of Vermont to benefit a village in Kenya. Perhaps there’s a correlation between the direness of the crisis and how wholesomeness of her campaigns.↵
