Rangers Void Khalil Greene’s Contract
As first reported by Evan Grant, the Texas Rangers have voided the one-year, $0.75m contract they gave to shortstop Khalil Greene. Greene has recently suffered from a recurrence of his social anxiety issues, and as such he has been unable to report to camp and join the team.

Amid speculation that the Rangers could pursue Felipe Lopez or someone else on the market to fill in for Khalil Greene, TR Sullivan went to Twitter and cleared matters up:
Joaquin Arias is the favorite to break camp with the backup job, while Esteban German lingers as another possibility.
